FAQ

Q:  How can Haggar Consulting Corp. help me?
A:  HCC can provide consulting services, software development, or pre-packaged software that's ready to go to help your internet business successful.  HCC has the experience, expertise, and know-how to help improve your bottom line, and that's the "bottom line"!

Q: Which product is better suited for my needs?  ICCard or CardGate?
A:  That depends on your needs.  ICCard is a payment processing engine with recurring billing features and membership management capabilities.  CardGate is the ideal tool for integrating a shopping cart or simple payment form on your web site.   Both products satisfy individual specifics of the markets they address.  Please contact us and we will discuss your requirements to determine exactly which features best satisfy your needs.

Q: I use an existing internet gateway, like AuthorizeNet or VeriSign.  What is the advantage of CardGate?
A:  The main advantage is overall costs.  You are probably paying for gateway services on a per-transaction basis with a monthly charge.  As your volume increases, these charges can easily grow expensive.  CardGate eliminates the need for paying these charges, because you will be connecting directly with the bank's processing center.  You can even allow other merchants to use your CardGate and charge them for the gateway services, making your CardGate purchase even more profitable to you by increasing revenue rather than just reducing costs!

Q: I have been using a third-party billing company like iBill.  What is the advantage of using ICCard instead?
A:  With a service like iBill, you are paying them for just that... a service.  When your volume of transactions grows, it becomes cost-justifyable to perform these services yourself in-house, rather than outsource them.  Companies like iBill charge a high percentage and reserve to process your transactions.  They fund your account on a weekly basis.  If you use ICCard, you can use your own merchant account (at a significant savings in the percentages you will pay), and your funds will be depositied on a daily basis.  The reserves held by the bank will also be less than those charged by a third-party billing company.  You will get full control over your customers, because they will be YOUR customers.  With a third-party billing company, your customers are not really YOUR customers, they are iBill's customers (iBill controls the data).  ICCard gives YOU complete control over your data and your customer base.  You can then provide better and more informed customer support services, because the customers will be contacting you directly, rather than first contacting iBill.

Q: What are the disadvantages to performing my own billing using ICCard?
A:  You must obtain a merchant account, and you must provide the customer support yourself.  Third party billing companies provide the customer support as part of their service, but that's also part of the high fees they charge.  Thus, you are already paying for customer support and the merchant account as a higher percentage of your transaction fees.  When you get your own account and use ICCard, you have much better control over the servicing of your customers, and can often do a better job of retaining your repeat consumers.  So, the disadvantage is that using ICCard requires you to perform customer service yourself, but as we see, this is really an advantage to your bottom-line.  The ICCard graphical interface is designed to be so easy to use that training is almost non-existant and a clerical person of any skill level can use ICCard's support features effectively.
